Hello, thanks for coming to look at my portfolio.

I create art which is figurative, and illustrative in nature, primarily focusing on people. I like to use a variety of mediums; acrylic paint, sharpies, copic markers, watercolor paints, watercolor pencils, graphite, soft pastels, oil pastels, colored pencils, etc, on stretch canvas, canvas pad, canvas board, board or art paper.

The purpose of my art is to make visual an idea or emotion that evokes shared responses in people and highlights the things which make us a human family. I like to express positivity and joyfulness rather than darker emotions because nobody has ever suffered from too much goodness.

I am a self-taught artist and mother of four. I aimed to be a musician and music teacher in highschool and university, barely scraped by in highschool art class, and then found opportunity changing my habits when I had my eldest daughter, and moved to an apartment in Brisbane city. Suddenly music practice just wasn’t gonna happen, but I could fill time peacefully sketching my baby and letting my creative juices flow that way. Since then I have worked hard to improve my skills, and hope to continue to do so for many decades to come.
