So, it’s not Mark Satchwill, but I’ve produced my own cartoony version of the eleven doctors. It was a fun project, and I hope others will enjoy seeing them as much as I enjoyed making them. I’ll be sellling them, prints and magnets on my Etsy store shortly.

Today I was thinking of combining a couple of projects of mine. “Muti-tasking! No Way!”, you say sarcastically. A Doctor Who fanclub of sorts which I often attend is holding a fund raiser so I was to use the images of Doctor Who to practice COLOR caricature / cartooning / quick sketches. I feel that my caricaturing is lacking the depth of toning and color, although I’ve improved greatly in the last three years with capturing lines.

While Googling (yes, that must officially be a verb by now) for images of Will Hartnell as Doctor Who, I came across Mark Satchwill’s work and devoured his website, flickr, redbubble, etsy etc etc.

I’m not sure I’m meant to go that direction with what I’m doing but OMG I would love to. Fortunately for me he lives in the UK so there may be room enough for two of us on the planet. Lol.

PS At least his website is godawful! There must be SOME reason I’m a graphic designer too!
